Types of Mediation
Mediation is a conflict resolution process offered at no cost to the Carroll County community that can be utilized for a variety of conflicts at any stage of a dispute.
Mediations can occur daytime, evenings and weekends in two-hour increments at our office or at locations throughout Carroll County
Types of mediation services offered include:
- Neighbors
- Neighborhood organizations
- Youth-adult neighborhood conflicts
- Landlord/tenant
- Parents and their teenage child/children
- Sibling conflicts
- Parenting plans (custody and visitation agreements)
- Caring for an older family member
- Husband and wife conflicts
- Veterans returning from service transitioning back into the family
- Probate process
- Strained relationships and friendships
- Roommate disputes
- Conflict between boyfriend and girlfriend or partners
- Employment disputes
- Coworker conflicts
- Businesses and their customers
- Businesses and their surrounding neighbors
- Students and teachers
- Students in conflict with each other
- Parents in conflict with the school
- Attendance issues
- Conflicts where the police have been called
- Conflicts where criminal charges have been filed for a misdemeanor crime
- People leaving prison and dealing with conflict, or making plans for their release with family or friends (mediation can take place inside the facility)
- People leaving a residential treatment program or in recovery
