Internship Information

Internships offer you a chance to get hands-on experience while working for a term or summer in a field related to your major. Eligibility for a credit internship includes the following:

• Completion of 12 academic credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
• At least one course relevant to the internship. (More may be required by the internship site.)
• The internship must be in an area relevant to student’s major.
• Student must be approved by internship site and have a faculty sponsor.

Plan Ahead!

Sites often have application deadlines and interviews. It is wise to begin searching for an internship the semester before you would like to participate. As part of the learning experience, you will have a syllabus with assignments given to you by your faculty sponsor. To register, all approvals and paperwork must be completed two weeks prior to the beginning of the academic term. 

Each credit is worth 45 hours, with a maximum of 6 credits.
