Miller Impact Report: October 2024
Empowering Entrepreneurs in Carroll County
Executive Summary
Miller: Resources for Entrepreneurs continues to be a cornerstone for local entrepreneurship, providing invaluable support and resources to help businesses thrive and driving economic development in Carroll County.
In October we facilitated the launch of 7 new businesses and welcomed 19 new clients, spanning a variety of sectors and locations across the county including Westminster, Mount Airy, Taneytown, and Finksburg.
Miller collaborated with vendors to secure spaces for the annual Winter Market at the College on December 14. Spaces filled quickly with a growing wait list for next year! See the Winter Market vendor list. This event provides our clients with an excellent platform to showcase and sell their products, fostering community engagement and boosting local commerce.
Underscoring Miller’s commitment to supporting future generations of entrepreneurs, Miller began a new initiative working with the Career Coach at Oklahoma Middle School for their Leadership Series, involving 25 students. Miller will present the workshop “Shark Tank Make Believe,” where students will work in teams to create a business and prepare their pitch presentations.
