Empowering Entrepreneurs in Carroll County
Executive Summary
Miller: Resources for Entrepreneurs continues to be a cornerstone for local entrepreneurship,
driving economic development in Carroll County.
In July and August alone, we facilitated the launch of 10 new businesses and welcomed 28 new
clients, spanning a variety of sectors and locations across the county including Westminster,
Upperco, New Windsor, Sykesville and Manchester.
Our impact extends to prestigious events like the Carroll Biz Challenge, where 4 of the top 5 finalists and most of the 33 entrants were Miller clients. 2024 marks the 7th consecutive year of Miller’s support and sponsorship of the Carroll Biz Challenge, including hosting their Kickoff event, attended by 52 participants.

Winter Market 2024 at Carroll Community College
Saturday, Dec. 14, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
75 vendor spaces available to showcase local talent, including 55 for local businesses to sell their merchandise and 20 reserved for College staff and student entrepreneurs. This is a fantastic opportunity for local service providers to market their services and for the community to support local enterprises.
