With placement testing, Carroll assesses your readiness for college-level courses. After testing, you are scheduled for follow-up testing or given a paper copy of your results and directed to complete the Online Pre-Advising session.
The Online Pre-Advising session explains prerequisites, selecting courses, transferring and registering. Complete the online session and quiz, prepare a schedule, and then visit the Advising and Transfer Center (A102). An adviser will review your test results, your academic or transfer goals, and your schedule before approving your registration or leading you through the online registration process.
Call Admissions at 410-386-8430 to schedule your placement test or visit A101. Small group test sessions are available Tuesday through Saturday mornings and Monday through Thursday evenings.
For the June and July only, walk in testing is available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You need to complete your online enrollment application within 48 hours prior to testing.
On your test day, bring a photo ID (driver's license preferred) and arrive 15 minutes early to check-in with the Admissions office. Allow 2-1/2 to 3 hours to complete the tests.
If you require special test accommodations, you must make an appointment with Disability Support Services at 410-386-8327 or 410-386-8329 to discuss accommodations prior to scheduling your testing session.
