Internships

Carroll’s internship program allows students to apply concepts learned in the classroom to real life work environments. In addition, students are able to explore diverse career paths, expand their skills and knowledge base, and develop greater interpersonal skills. Internships are available for credit and non-credit.

Credit internships are awarded one credit hour per every 45 hours of internship work. To qualify, students must have a grade point average of 2.0 or better. Credit internships require a faculty sponsor and must be coordinated with the Coordinator of Service-Learning and Internships. After meeting with a faculty sponsor and the Coordinator of Service-Learning and Internships, the faculty sponsor submits the Internship Course Agreement (ICA) to his/her department chair.

Non-credit internships do not require college involvement; however, students who need help with obtaining an internship may contact the Coordinator of Service-Learning and Internships.

The Coordinator of Experiential Learning and Student Organizations facilitates the development of internships. For more information, call 410-386-8500 or email internships@carrollcc.edu.
