Internships - Guidelines
- You must have completed or be exempt from READ-099 and/or READ-101, have a minimum of 12 credit hours and be currently enrolled as a Carroll student.
- You may only have a total of six internship credit hours within one degree program.
- Any internship beyond six credit hours will not receive academic credit.
- Internships for academic credit must be completed during the term in which you are enrolled.
- To start the internship process, schedule an interview with the Coordinator of Service-Learning and Internships.
- The Internship Course Agreement (ICA) and Memorandum of Understanding must be completed at the beginning of the internship.
- You may not be an intern in your current position/job description.
- Internships can be paid and unpaid. In the case of paid internships, wage rates are discussed between the you and employer. The college does not intervene regarding pay rates.
- You must attend and reflect upon one Career Development Center workshop during the term of your internship.
- Your student record is reviewed for academic and behavioral integrity violations. Determination for internship access is made on a case by case basis by the Internship Committee.
