At Carroll Community College, student success matters. We want every student to succeed. What do we mean? Success may mean good time management. Success may mean accomplishing assignments. It may mean setting realistic goals for you as an individual.
At Carroll, we also know that learning styles vary greatly. Students learn at various rates, using various methods. Faculty and staff at the college are sensitive to students' needs. They place a strong emphasis on providing an environment where learning is accessible to everyone and everyone learns equally; this includes students with disabilities.
ATTENTION: STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES
Carroll is the proud recipient of a state grant specifically designed to assist students with a primary documented disability of learning disabilities. The Governor's Community College Initiative for Students with Learning Disabilities offers services that may be excluded under standard post-secondary accommodation requirements. Enhanced assistance may be in the form of extra tutoring in specific courses, software to improve academic skills, academic coaching, assessments, and/or other possibilities that may improve the student's post-secondary education experience. There is no extra cost to the student for the these services.
If you are interested in participating in the program, please contact Joyce Sebian, Director of Disability Support Services at 410-386-8329, or jsebian@carrollcc.edu.
