- U.S. Department of Education - resources for teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
- National Education Association - "NEA on the Issues" presents an overview and the organization's stand on a variety of hot topics in the education field.
- National Association of Elementary School Principals - "Research a Topic" section includes articles and other resources on a variety of issues and concerns.
- National Association of State Boards of Education - "Education Issues" section includes articles, reports, and policy briefs. The policy briefs are excerpted and full content is restricted to NASBE members only. Articles and reports are available in PDF format in their entirety.
- Education Commission of the States - "Education Issues" site provides comprehensive overviews of a wide variety of education issues.
- Clearinghouse on Educational Policy and Management - from the CEPM (formerly an ERIC clearinghouse) at the University of Oregon. Provides an analysis of the issue, ERIC abstracts, Web resources, and bibliographies. See the "Hot Topics" and "Trends & Issues" areas.
- Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development - includes brief overviews of topics such as: the brain and learning, character education, classroom management, inclusion, multicultural education, assessment, school safety, problem-based learning, and multiple intelligences. The "Explore" link seems to lead mainly to full-text articles from ASCD's publications like Educational Leadership. Other links are to items available for purchase such as packets on a topic.
- Almanac of Policy Issues - award-winning "independent public service" site provides links to Web resources and organizations dealing with general, K-12, and higher education issues.
- National Center for Policy Analysis - the NCPA is a "nonprofit, nonpartisan public policy research organization." Education link leads to topics such as school choice, charter schools, minority and women's education, testing, government programs and funding, and federal education policy. Links are then provided to articles on more specific subtopics.
