Academic Community - Education
Academic Communities bring together often-isolated elements of the student experience. From making connections between formal academic experiences and other learning opportunities, you can relate academic study to life interests and goals.
If you are interested in making a difference, this community emphasizes exploring majors and careers in Elementary, Secondary and Early Childhood Education.
For more information, contact Susan Sies at ssies@carrollcc.edu, Marlene Welch at mwelch@carrollcc.edu or Jackie Moore at jmoore@carrollcc.edu
First Year Interest Groups (FIG)
Popular course combinations give you the smart advantage on your career path.
A FIG provides a connection to learning in three courses focused on a common career theme. Register for all three courses and round out a full-time schedule by selecting courses from college catalog to fulfill General Education requirements.
You will have the opportunity to interact and study with the same group of students in these three classes, and have the benefit of three or more faculty members working together to guide successful learning.
