Carroll Community College Recognizes Students Who Completed Veterinary Assistant Training Program
Westminster, Md., On April 23, a completion ceremony was held for students who completed Veterinary Assistant Training at Carroll Community College. Students were awarded a Certificate of Achievement in Veterinary Assistant Training. The program, now in its 15th year, consists of 150 hours of training, including a54-hour supervised clinical practicum.
This training was established to provide formal training for veterinary assistants and provides students with the basic knowledge and skills necessary for an entry-level position in a veterinary hospital.
The college would like to recognize the clinical sites that helped to make this year’s program a success: Academy Animal Hospital; Airpark Animal Hospital; Antrim Veterinary Hospital; Carroll County Veterinary Clinic; Country Veterinary Hospital; Eldersburg Veterinary Hospital; Emmitsburg Veterinary Hospital; Hunt Valley Animal Hospital; Liberty Animal Clinic; Mt. Airy Veterinary Hospital; Prettyboy Veterinary Hospital; Taylorsville Veterinary Clinic; and The Sykesville Veterinary Clinic. The college would also like to thank the Carroll County Humane Society for supporting students and serving as a host site for one of the class sessions.
