Carroll Community College Child Development Center Holds Open House

Westminster, Md., The new Child Development Center (CDC) in the new K building at Carroll Community College has allowed the CDC to expand its capacity, services, and to evolve into a "lab" setting for teachers in training and other research professionals.

The CDC will hold an open house for faculty, staff, students, and the community on March 31 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors to the CDC may proceed from the main parking lot under the glass bridge to the K building and head towards the drop off/parking area near the playground.

"The purpose of the open house is to invite prospective families to observe the new center. We want to raise awareness of our resources.  The early childhood lab setting offers an environment for students, teachers, and other professionals to increase their knowledge of young children through observation and interaction." said Director Nancy Gregg.

The capacity of the CDC allows 16 children in the ages two to three room and 18 in the pre-K (ages four to five) room each day. Children attend both part-time and full-time.  The CDC accepts children ages two-and-one-half through five.

" The center is local and convenient." said Gregg. " We strive to be flexible for our families."
