Carroll Community College Will Recognize ASTD Employee Learning Week 2005
To celebrate workforce development, Carroll Community College is pleased to support ASTD's Employee Learning Week, from Dec. 5 to 9, 2005. Carroll's Business Training Center will offer free scheduled presentations to employees at company locations throughout the county at the organization's request. In addition, Carroll will provide a 20 percent discount for training contracts that are completed during the week.
Carroll recognizes that in order to grow and compete in today's global economy, organizations must have a highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
Employee Learning Week provides an opportunity for business leaders and managers to close the gap between worker skills and today's job requirements, and recognize the value of employee learning within their organizations.
The week is sponsored by the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the world's largest association dedicated to workplace learning and performance.
During the week, organizations are encouraged to introduce new benefits to employees, support involvement in professional organizations, and promote staff development and individualized learning.
For over 20 years, Carroll's Business Training Center has been the preferred local source for customized employee training, thorough workforce assessment and expert business consulting. Employers that work with us achieve business growth, increased productivity, and heightened competitiveness with the solutions we deliver.
