Carroll Community College Announces Adult Education Programs in May
Westminster, Md., Carroll Community College's Adult Education National External Diploma Program will hold a pre-screening session to determine program eligibility on Wednesday, May 12 at 9 a.m. and Thursday, May 13 at 6:00 pm at 224 North Center Street, Westminster, MD 21157. The National External Diploma Program provides an alternate route for obtaining a high school diploma for adults over age 18. There is no charge for the pre-screening; tuition for the program is $120. Limited financial assistance is available for students who qualify. The Adult Education program will offer an official GED Practice Test at 1601 Washington Rd., Westminster, Md. 21157 on May 22, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. The practice test is half the length of the actual GED test. Students receive their scores on test day. The cost is $20. Please call 410-386-2550 for more information.
The Adult Education program announces registration for Family Literacy classes. Free classes are open to parents interested in pursuing a high school diploma. Early childhood education is available for children of participating parents. Registration will be held at Human Services Programs' Family Center the week of May 3.
