Holocaust Survivor Leo Bretholz to Speak at Carroll Community College
Westminster, Md., March 3, 2010-Carroll Community College invites members of the community, faculty, staff, and students to attend a presentation by Leo Bretholz on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Theater in the Scott Center.
Admission is free.
Bretholz is author of the book "Leap Into Darkness" and a frequent international speaker on the topic of being a Holocaust survivor.
Bretholz witnessed Hitler's annexation of Vienna, escaped from Nazi-occupied France, and jumped from a deportation train to Auschwitz. The survivor who bravely escaped becoming a victim of the Holocaust eventually set his roots in Maryland. He has been successful at creating a new life as a resident of Pikesville, Md.
The presentation is being held in observation of Holocaust Remembrance Month in April.
