Carroll Community College Announces Auditions for Summer Opera

Westminster, Md., March 1, 2010-On March 26 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Carroll Community College will hold auditions for their summer production of Mozart's beloved opera, The Magic Flute.  The opera will run July 29th and 31st and will be sung in German with English dialogue.  The production will be fully staged and performed with orchestra. 
 
For the audition, interested performers should prepare a song of two-minutes or less in length that showcases vocal quality and range.  Music must be provided for the pianist, or you may choose to sing a cappella. Those who wish to audition may prepare an operatic aria, but are not required to do so.
 
Auditions will be held in the Theater of the Scott Center at Carroll Community College.  This audition is open to singers of all ages.  Interested performers should contact Rebecca Bell to schedule an audition. Please e-mail rbell@carrollcc.edu or call 410-386-8575.
