Carroll Community College Offers Information Technology Program for Youth
Westminster, Md., June 19, 2009-Teens interested in an information technology career will be participating in "IT CareerPaths," an intensive four day continuing education program for current high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The program will be held Monday, June 22 through Thursday, June 25 from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $245.
Students will gain hands-on experience working with IT projects in a variety of areas including programming, networking, hardware and software support, and video game programming.
They will also visit local IT departments of some of the area's leaders in information technology and see their technology firsthand. IT professionals, supervisors and senior-level managers will interact with students to learn about their work environments, including exploring internships and career opportunities.
