It's Time to Register at Carroll Community College

Westminster, Md., Nov. 20, 2008--Winter and spring registration is underway at Carroll Community College. The college offers three easy ways to register for credit courses.

 New and returning students can register in person at 1601 Washington Road in room A102. New and returning students can also register by mail by downloading, printing, and mailing the credit class registration form available at www.carrollcc.edu. Returning students only can register online using WebAdvisor.  New students must first apply for admission before registering and they can register online the following semester.

Registered students have the option to enroll in the FACTS Deferred Payment Plan. This is a convenient, interest-free, and affordable way to pay for college in smaller budgeted increments. To sign up for FACTS, visit the business office to complete a paper agreement or enroll through the website at http://www.carrollcc.edu/billing/facts/default.asp. The fee to enroll for FACTS is $25.  Enroll for FACTS by Dec. 5, 2008, and put 20 percent down of your full tuition amount. There will be four additional scheduled payments (20 percent each) from January through April, 2009. After Dec. 5, the amount to put down will increase.

Students seeking financial aid are invited to attend free financial aid workshops on Wednesdays, Dec. 10, 2008 and on Feb. 11, 2009. Both workshops will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Theater in the Scott Center. Workshops provide information on federal, state, institutional, and private sources of student financial aid, as well as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Call the Financial Aid Office at 410-386-8437 if you plan to attend.

Winter classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009. Spring classes begin Monday, Feb. 2, 2009. Registering students should note that the campus will be closed for winter break from Dec. 2, 2008 through Jan. 4, 2009. There will be a Saturday registration day on Jan. 24,2009 for last-minute spring term student registrations. On that day, the bookstore, cashier, advising office and registration office will be open.
