Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele Visits Carroll Community College
Steele Tours Campus, Studies Credit Programs Offered
Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele toured Carroll Community College as part of a visit to Carroll County on Friday, May 5. Beginning at 1:30 p.m., Steele observed how the college addresses sector-specific workforce development through its programs.
Steele met with faculty and students to learn about the college's credit programs in teaching, in nursing and allied health, and in business training. Steele also met with college President Dr. Faye Pappalardo and with members of the college's Board of Trustees.
"I was pleased to welcome Lieutenant Governor Steele to Carroll Community College. I am delighted that he understands the importance of workforce development to our county and state. I am especially delighted that he appreciates the role of community colleges in the growth of business and in supporting the continuing education needs of workers," said Dr. Pappalardo. "I was honored by the Lieutenant Governor's visit to our campus."
