Carroll Community College Students Graduate
from Animal Control Officer Academy
The Fourth Annual East Coast Animal Control Officer Academy was held Oct. 1 to Oct. 12, 2007. A pinning ceremony was held on Oct. 12 at the Public Safety Education and Training Center of the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services in Sykesville. Sixteen students successfully completed the 90-clock-hour course.

The Academy, created by Carroll Community College's Continuing Education & Training in 2003, along with state and national humane organizations, provides training to animal control officers who work for humane societies, animal shelters, and police departments.
