Maggie Beatty to Speak at Carroll Community College
Maggie Beatty, a health educator with the Carroll County Health Department, will speak on Wednesday, May 9 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Carroll Community College, 1601 Washington Road, Westminster, in room P521. This talk is part of the college's Careers in Health Speakers Series. A question and answer session will follow the talk.
Beatty has been a health educator at the Carroll County Health Department since 2000. She is also a child passenger safety technician, an instructor for Child Passenger Safety, a member of the C.R.A.S.H. Coalition, a coordinator for Safe Kids Carroll County, an instructor for PACE Arthritis Foundation, and a poison prevention trainer.
She received an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from Essex Community College, Essex, Md.; a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education from Towson State University, Towson, Md.; and a Master of Science in Exercise Science and Physical Ed. from McDaniel College, Westminster, Md.
