"Images of Compassion, Faces of God" featured at Carroll Community College
The juried exhibit "Images of Compassion/Faces of God" will be on display April 22, 2007 through May 25, 2007 in the Great Hall at Carroll Community College, 1601 Washington Road, Westminster. An opening reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. April 22 in the Great Hall.
"Images of Compassion, Faces of God" is an exhibit that calls on the artist to present work that reflects his/her interpretation of That which can not be spoken, the great creative & sometimes destructive force in the universe. Whether it is called God, Nature, Spirit or Love, humans are inclined to attach an image to the mystery.
This exhibit will feature the work of more than a dozen artists from many parts of the state who responded to a public call to artists. Their works embrace many different media and diverse styles but each one speaks from the heart. Some of the artists participating include: Carmen Blosveren, Howard Riopelle, Jim Condron, Gail Elwell, Tom Sterner, Anna Stewart, Judith Koelbl, Patrick Allen, Carol Purkins, and Susan Williamson.
The Great Hall is open Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The college is located at 1601 Washington Road, Westminster.
